Tri-County Technical Center is a small CTE school that serves students from six sending schools in the three surrounding counties. Because we want to maximize the educational possibilities of all of those potential TCTC students, we offer a variety of methods for sharing information about our programs and educational opportunities.
Tours are available for large and small groups of students. Most often, tours will be conducted by our current students so that prospective students may talk freely about TCTC and learn about our school from a student’s perspective. Ideally, we would like to have all eighth and tenth grade students in our districts tour the facility in order to develop a baseline familiarity with TCTC. Parents and guardians are welcome to either tour with students or separately at times convenient for them.
We recommend that all potential TCTC students shadow their program of interest for at least one whole day prior to making their final decision about enrollment. Shadows and program observation are also available to care providers. Shadows are scheduled through our Student Services Coordinator, Sarah Hanson.
Presentations at our sending schools are available through Sarah Hanson. These presentations can be of any size from all students to individual meetings. Sarah will, in most cases, involve current TCTC students to help bring the TCTC student perspective to students who may be interested in attending TCTC. TCTC staff members are also available to present to student groups and to meet with all interested parties at our sending schools. If you can’t come to us, we will come to you.
Application for admission to TCTC should be made through your local sending school guidance counselor. You can also fill out the application on this site.
